San Francisco City Hall Elopement | Jena & Will
Tuesday
I pinched myself, I kid you not. Working with Jena and Will has quite frankly been one of the BEST experiences of my career. I was reconsidering shooting elopements before these two came along. I love having genuine, deep connections with my clients because it helps me tell their story and reads so true in their images. But something just hadn't been clicking with my past elopements (no pun intended). But J+W turned that tide for me and I'm so lucky they came along!

Sutro Baths & Lands End Engagement | Madeline & Ryan Engaged
Wednesday
Madeline and Ryan were an absolute TREAT to have here in San Francisco for their destination engagement session! Madeline wanted to surprise Ryan with a trip to San Francisco for his birthday (SO sweet) and knew that it would be the most perfect time for their engagement photos. She couldn't keep the secret for too long and before we knew it, they were here and we were running around in the El Nino rains at Sutro Baths & Lands End. When we talked about a rain plan, they both decided to just go with the flow and enjoy the rare rainy day! I absolutely adored their carefree spirit!
It's a wonderful feeling when two incredibly connected souls get in front of my camera. These two have been together for a few years and before they were a couple, were dear friends. You could feel the love and connection that emanated from them just in the 2 hours that we were together. Ryan knew how to perfectly wrap Madeline up so that their bodies fit perfectly; how Madeline continued to check on Ryan to make sure he wasn't too cold or tired; at the end of our session, we were all cold, wet and tired, but Ryan looked at Madeline and asked "Do you want to put your toes in the Pacific?" Madeline beamed and I knew it would be a cute little series. They compliment each other beautifully and I was so honored that they chose ME (from Instagram, no less) to photograph this one incredible day on their amazing journey together.
Madeline & Ryan, I hope wedding planning is going smoothly and you two are savoring this unique time in your journey! I always say, take some time to call each other "fiancé" for a bit. ;)
Destination Amelia Island Wedding | Ashley & Tim Married
Wednesday
As I write this post, I am filled with joy, love and let's be honest...I'm totally tearing up thinking about this magical day! I had the unbelievable honor of photographing my BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING! Words can't begin to describe how happy I am for my bestie and her husband, Tim. I'm so happy they have found love and a forever!
It was the sweetest of ceremonies! Ashley and Tim were surrounded by 10 of their closest friends and family members and I am just beside myself that I was one of those 10! What an honor! Their little lovebug, Ava, was giddily watching with her sweet cousin holding her through the ceremony! The absolute cutest moment happened when Tim was saying his vows and put the ring on Ashley's finger; sweet Ava churped up and said "Yay, Daddy!" Everyone turned and laughed with tears in our eyes and the fullest of hearts! I'm being rather mushy in this post, but in all honesty, this day was filled with so much love, so much joy and so much happiness! It truly was such an incredible day!
The Amelia Island Williams House was the perfect setting for the intimate day! Those who stayed in the beautiful bed and breakfast said the breakfast at the Inn was to die for and loved learning about the history of the Inn. We all enjoyed walking through the town, grabbing lunch together, and catching up! I went out exploring the day before the wedding and found two absolutely incredible portrait areas for photos! The first was Canopy Drive at Fort Clinch State Park where there was hanging Spanish Moss, endless palm trees and palm fronds (my new favorite) and the light was just absolutely magical! Tim, Ashley and I spent some time here just the three of us and it was so magical! I also found an incredible location that I am sure is very popular in the area for photographers, called Boneyard Beach on Big Talbot Island...but we happened to catch it at a beautifully quiet time! The whole gang walked the 10-12 min walk (ahem...hike) and I continued to promise that the walk was totally worth the view! And it was! Everyone loved the beauty of the decayed trees that have been eroded from the beach front and it really was a magical place for photos! The bugs on the other hand were insane; perhaps it was because we were officially at dusk, but we spent about 3 min at this location and then decided to head to dinner at Espana, easily one of the best Spanish meals we've had...it was delicious! The night was spent laughing, telling stories, eating amazing food and drinking yummy wine and enjoying the coming together of these two beautiful souls! Enjoy their day! :D
