KNOXVILLE WINTER NEWLYWEDS | JENNA AND RYAN

Friday

Ryan and Jenna said their "I Do's" in a small ceremony up on a mountain top overlooking Norris lake in November and it was a sight to see! Their wedding day post will be coming soon, but before we delve into their dreamy ceremony, I wanted to share their sweet and fun winter newlywed session in downtown Knoxville. Enjoy!

BAY AREA LIFESTYLE HEADSHOTS | STEELE MY HEART

Wednesday

January 28, 2014; the day I met Ryanne will go down in our SF history! I decided I was going to find people here in the Bay Area in our industry...put myself out there (which, lets face it isn't easy for anyone) and make some friends, industry peers and, hopefully down the road, some connections. What I wasn't "planning" on was the incredible friendships I would make on this adventure. Ryanne Steele from Steele My Heart, Hand Lettered Signage, Modern Calligraphy & Wedding Planning, has turned out to be one of my best girlfriends! She has SUCH an amazing spirit...she's just effervescent!! From our first bite at an Alameda Thai restaurant to our jaunts around the Alameda Flea Market to working together on some fun and exciting projects, I just adore our friendship and was SO incredibly excited when she asked for new head shots for her website! No jacket or blazer for this chicky! We wanted to have fun, show off her personality and really show off how talented and unique she is! As she states on her site, "I believe that you should look to hire vendors that you feel comfortable with, the kind of people you would want to be friends with long after your Wedding Day."

We had such a fun time hanging over in my neighbor's apartment (thank you Carrie!!!) and then we made our way over to a famous little corner of our neighborhood called, Vesuvio. We had a beer (or two) and continued with the shoot. I love how this head shot session wasn't buttoned up or covered up, but showed tattoos, curly hair, beer drinking and the most awesome handletterer and planner in the Bay Area! Enjoy!! {Makeup: Makeup by Adele}

MOSS BEACH PACIFICA MATERNITY | LINDA AND JONATHAN

Friday

It had been raining for 7 days straight, but the clouds were parting, the sun was shining and everything was absolutely perfect for Linda and Jonathan's maternity session at Moss Beach, CA. I ventured to Moss Beach earlier this year with some photographer girlfriends and immediately fell in love with the area. Pacifica is such a beautiful and quaint little town and this wooded area and seaside landscape just made it the most romantic and serene location for a session. I have been waiting on the perfect time to shoot here!

Linda and Jonathan were so willing to go with my vision and put so much trust in me! I knew we had the ingredients for a beautiful maternity session, so once we began, it was easy to see why this is one of my favorite sessions of the year!!! I'm so excited to meet Little Baby Pang in the next few months!

Candoro Marble Building Maternity Session

Friday

Elegant, fun, fresh and classic.  These are words that come to mind when I think about the incredible and historic Candoro Marble Building in Knoxville, TN. I stumbled across this gem from another photographer I highly admire and decided to contact the organization to see if I could take some photos there. Working with Wendy was great and we easily were able to set up two photoshoots using the building and grounds. Not only did we get to have an unique and elegant backdrop but my clients were able to donate a small fee to the building to help with the restoration that is taking place in 2015. Its the little things that make the difference! :D

My sweet, dear and incredibly talented friend Beth, owner of Runaway Alice Photography, completely honored me by asking if I would take her maternity photos! I was absolutely thrilled and we began to work on a vision for her shoot. Long dresses, lace, white walls and a flower crown were all ideas that we threw out and that came to fruition. Little did I know that Beth brought along a beautiful mink that she donned for a few photos; definitely went with the historic period of Candoro Marble Building!

So excited for Beth and her little munchkin and her hubs, Zach! I can't wait to see the amazing parents that I know they will be!
